Montauk charter boat bass fishing has been out of control, the fish are all between 30 to 40 pounds…….no small ones at all. The flood tide seems to be the best, but the ebb tide is very good also. All the fishing has been on bait, which makes it a real blast.

USCG Captain’s License
Well it’s been some time since I have posted so here we go…….all in all the fishing has been pretty good. Some days better than others but that’s fishing. Bass have been a struggle in general, one day they bite the next they don’t. Fluking has been the most reliable fishery with some very impressive fishing coming over the side. Have not done one shark trip yet, but from what I see it look pretty dang GOOD. The best thing that happened is that my son completed his USCG Capt. license so there will be 2 captains on the Weejack.
Commercial Fishing for Sea bass
Have not been charter boat fishing in last 3 days, so I have been commercial fishing for sea bass. Fishing has been real good. Sea bass will not open recreationally till the middle of july. But I guess thats New york state for you.
Real Good Fluke Bite
Had gb and Eric Low on a full day fluke charter. A little windy in the morning but it flattened right out. The fishing was a pick in the morning. As the northwest wind and flood tide started, so did the fishing. The fishing went from pick to real good with condition at its best. Ended day with full limit of fluke up to 5 1/2 lbs. Our two customers were gentleman, and fine anglers. Nice to have good fishing and good customers at the same time.
