Fluke season doesn’t open till May 17, the boat is all ready to go……made my way down to south Jersey. My good friends and great costumers invited me to go turkey hunting. Guided by one of the best turkey hunters in all south Jersey, Big Ed puts me on the birds once again. Besides great hunting there is also great food and great company, what more can one ask for. Will be fishing as soon as season opens.

Weejack is Wet
Well, after much anticipation and hard work the WEEJACK is all spruced up and floating. Just waiting for season to open up so we can fish [may 17]. Took her for shake down cruise and all systems go. Guess she will be tied up till the recreational season starts because there’s really nothing worth fishing for commercial, at least for me anyway. Can’t wait to get going.
New Weejack Shirts
Just received the new Weejack tee shirts, and they look great. Changed the colors this year, and updated to shirts with pockets. Everybody was complaining about not having pockets so figured I would make them happy…..Boat’s coming along good and she should be wet in a week or two.
Rudder Bearing – Captain’s Report
Had some good weather this weekend, so decided to tackle that rudder bearing that was leaking. And what a PAIN it was, my son and I put in a good day of work. The bearing is out….and waiting for new one to arrive from Fla. Meanwhile all hydraulics will be changed and all new lines. Might as well do the job right.
