Inshore Fishing

All fish targeted are within sight of land and include Striped Bass, Bluefish, Fluke, Sea Bass, Porgy, and Blackfish. Bass and Blue Fishing is either done by trolling, live bait fishing, or diamond jigging. Fluke, Sea Bass, Porgy and Blackfish are fished either drifting or on anchor, aka bottom fishing. We fish for these species in the most productive way, unless another technique is preferred. We can customize any style of fishing the customer wants. Inshore trips are great to fill up the freezer, or keep the kids interested as it is usually fast and furious fishing.

Offshore Cod – Coxes Ledge

This fishing is usually done in depths of 80-160 feet. The ride to the fishing grounds can be 2 hours or more. Fishing is done either drifting or on anchor, and we bait fish or diamond jig. In addition to Cod, there is a good chance of catching Sea Bass, Porgy, Ling, and Blackfish. This is a great summer time and fall fishery! Nothing like catching cod in shorts and t-shirt. We also keep an eye out for that Mako swimming around on the surface.

Offshore Fishing

Includes Shark, Tuna, Mahi-mahi, Marlin, and Wahoo. Shark fishing is usually done between 10-25 miles from land and is all drift fishing. The day starts out stopping at the lighthouse and catching some live-fresh bait. Then off to the deep water for a nice day of sharking. Sharks that are possible to catch are Mako, Thresher, Blue, Hammerhead, Tiger, and Brown Shark. Occasionally we catch Bluefin Tuna, Mahi-mahi, White Marlin, and trigger fish while sharking.

Extended Day Offshore

This is primarily a trolling trip, that can produce Bigeye Tuna, Yellowfin, Bluefin, Albacore, White and Blue Marlin, Mahi-mahi, Wahoo, and sometimes a Mako. These trips are long [16 hrs] and require a very good forecast.

Overnight Canyon

Same as extended day, but at night we chunk and bait fish.

Commercial Fishing for Sea bass

Have not been charter boat fishing in last 3 days, so I have been commercial fishing for sea bass. Fishing has been real good. Sea bass will not open recreationally till the middle of july. But I guess thats New york state for you.
